Our team loves supporting locally owned and operated small businesses, and we know you do too! This season, let's start a new tradition of shopping for our gifts at local stores and the incredible makers markets that happen from now until the end of December. We have compiled a list of 20 of the best markets in Ottawa and surrounding areas to help you plan your shopping trips. There truly is something for everyone on your list at these amazing markets! WHERE: 1000 Exhibition Way


If you are a fan of any type of craft, maker, or vintage show, you have most likely heard of 613flea. This awesome flea market is held approximately once a month on Saturdays at the Aberdeen Pavilion, lovingly known as the “Cattle Castle”. It is dedicated to promoting the economic independence of the creative and sustainable community of our area. Shop over 100 vendors for everything from vintage pieces to delicious food to beautiful handcrafted items.

Adàwàning: Indigenous Women’s Art Market

WHEN: November 26th to 28th, 2021

WHERE: Online


Shop this incredible market online of 50 female identifying Indigenous artists and artisans from all across Canada. This market will feature diverse works from Métis, Inuit and First Nations makers including fine art, beadwork, moccasins, cards, crafts, music, materials and much more. Happy Holidays Virtual Market

WHEN: November 8th, 6pm - November 16th, 9pm

WHERE: Online


Ottawa Artisans was launched in February of 2020 as a solution to support local makers and aid in hyper-local shopping. The platform was created to both support local creators to easily and securely sell their products as well as make local shopping as easy as possible for Ottawans. Only 2 years in, the number of artisans has grown by the hundreds and there are now more than 10,000 items available for purchase on their website as well as some amazing giveaways happening all week long. Shop online from November 8th to 16th and arrange to pick up at their Bayshore or St.Laurent Mall locations or have your purchase delivered to your door. If you are shopping from outside of Ottawa, you are in luck! This year, they have teamed up with SwiftPost to be able to ship Canada and USA wide! 


Holiday Market at Carlingwood

WHEN: November 20th to November 21st, 10am to 8pm

WHERE: Carlingwood Shopping Centre, 2121 Carling Avenue


Ottawa Artisans is organizing an indoor craft market in partnership with the Carlingwood Shopping Center! Come visit the artisans who will be set-up in the hallway of the mall and in-store. The market follows the mall hours and is happening both days of the weekend.


Holiday Market at St.Laurent

WHEN: December 4th to December 5th, 10am to 8pm

WHERE: St. Laurent Shopping Mall, 1200 St. Laurent Blvd


Ottawa Artisans is taking over the St-Laurent Shopping Center! For 2 days you will be able to visit more than 70 local artisans during the special 2-days holiday market. Artisans will be set up in some dedicated stores where you will be able to browse all their products in the warmth of the mall. Visit all the stores and collect special stickers for a chance to win a grand prize!


Kanata Central Holiday Craft Fair

WHEN: November 28th 2021, 9am to 4pm

WHERE: Holiday Inn & Suits Kanata, 2nd floor, 101 Kanata Avenue

ADMISSION: FREE + free parking

Stop by to shop for the holidays: jewellery, bath & body products, pottery, spices, wooden toys, handbags, apparel, natural soaps and so much more! This eveny is in partnership with the Kanata BIA.


Merrickville’s Makers Markets Christmas Market

WHEN: November 13th, 2021, 10am to 4pm

WHERE: Merrickville Fairgrounds, 446 Main Street West


Merrickville's Makers Markets showcase the work of area artisans. They are the best place to find everything made by hand and from the heart! The Christmas Market features 70+ local artisans and markets, all in one place! Head over to the playgrounds to get your holiday shopping started! 


Metcalfe Farmers’ Christmas Market

WHEN: November 13th, 2021, 9am to 2pm and December 18th, 2021, 9am to 2pm

WHERE: Greely Community Centre, 1448 Meadow Drive


With over 45+ amazing weekly vendors, it is no surprise that this market was voted Ottawa’s Best Farmers Market of 2021. Knock some items off of your holiday shopping list and shop local makers selling everything from fresh produce to baking, pottery to jewelery, and everything in between. My Local Market Presents The Night Market - Nepean Holiday Edition

WHEN: November 25th, 2021, 4:30pm to 8pm

WHERE: Urban Centre, 70 Bongard Avenue

ADMISSION: Donations of non perishables & cash accepted to the Caldwell Family Centre Foodbank

 My Local Markets presents their first Christmas Night Market at their Nepean location! Enjoy shopping 35+ vendors, listen to the festive music, and enjoy delicious food from The Grilled Tomato and drinks from the Urban Centre Bar. 


One World Bazaar

WHEN: September 30th - November 14th, 2021 (see the website for more details on days and hours)

WHERE: 6100 Mitch Owens Road


One World Bazaar is a family-owned and operated business in which they work directly with artisans from all over the world to bring a curated collection of handmade items to Ottawa! The beautiful barn is packed to the rafters with everything from home decor, jewelery, clothing, furniture, art, and much more.  If you are looking for unique and interested gifts this year, you have to check out this Bazaar! 



Online Christmas Bazaar

WHEN: November 1st - December 6th, 2021

WHERE: Online


Shop this Christmas Bazaar right from home! Everything sold at this Bazaar is made by local Ottawa area makers and you can find everything from savoury pies, chilis, soups and other delicious food items to home decor, gifts, and crafting supplies. They also feature a wide range of environmentally friendly products like reusable household items and upcycled gifts. Fill your basket online, pay, and pick up curb-side!


Ottawa Christmas Market

WHEN: November 26th to December 22nd, 2021 (see the website for the detailed schedule with dates and times)

WHERE: Casino Lac-Leamy Plaza at Lansdowne Park, 1015 Bank Street

ADMISSION: FREE (paid parking available)

Casino Lac-Leamy Plaza at Lansdowne is being transformed into a European style Christmas Market! Under a canopy of fairy lights you can shop 35+ vendors, enjoy seasonal food and drink, enjoy live entertainment, a central bar, fire pits, beautiful holiday decor and much more! This is a great holiday experience for adults and kids alike! 


Ottawa Comiccon Holiday Edition

WHEN: November 19th - November 21st, 2021 (times not yet announced)

WHERE: EY Centre, 4899 Uplands Drive


Comiccon is back at EY Centre with a holiday-centric market featuring all of your favourite retailers and vendors, just in time to get your Christmas shopping done! Shop comic books, collectibles, cosplay supplies, original art, and much more over this 2 day event, and bring the kids along!


Ottawa Rock N’ Gem Show

WHEN: December 2nd to 5th, 2021 (Thursday to Saturday, 10am to 8pm. Sunday 10am to 5pm)

WHERE: EY Centre, 4899 Uplands Drive

ADMISSION: $2/person or $5/family

Crystal and mineral lovers rejoice! This amazing trade show is a great place to get gifts for those crystal and jewelry fanatics in your life. This show will offer everything from crystals, minerals and designing supplies to stunning completed jewelery. 


Perth Christmas Farmers’ Market 

WHEN: November 21st, 2021, 10am to 3pm

WHERE: 28 Drummond Street East


Get ready for Christmas with the return of the Farmers Market. Inside and outside the Crystal Palace in downtown Perth, vendors will have a wide variety of food, drink and art for sale.


Signatures Originals Ottawa Christmas Craft Sale

WHEN: December 8th to 12th, 2021

WHERE: EY Centre, 4899 Uplands Drive

ADMISSION: $10 (buy tickets HERE)

This awesome annual craft sale is a uniquely Canadian handmade marketplace in Ottawa that features the works of over 150 artists, artisans, makers, and designers from coast-to-coast. Since 1974, the show has been the premier holiday shopping event of the Nation’s Capital – an annual tradition where visitors can meet passionate creatives in person, hear their stories, and experiance their works first-hand. 


St. Elias Christmas Market 

WHEN: December 2, 2021, 3pm to 9pm

WHERE: St. Elias Banquet Centre, 750 Ridgewood Avenue


The vendor market will be held indoors at the St. Elias Banquet Centre in Ottawa. Get your Christmas shopping done and support small business by shopping local artisans, crafters and vendors, for unique and thoughtful gifts. Stay a while and enjoy traditional sweets and treats. Sip on hot cocoa or a warm drink with family and friends, while enjoying a magical lit up and cozy atmosphere. There will be a visit from Santa, a tree lighting, carolling, kids crafts and so much more!


The Glebe Craft & Artisan Fair 

WHEN: Saturday, November 20th and 27th, 10am to 5pm

Sunday, November 21st and 28th, 11am to 4pm

WHERE: Glebe Community Centre, 175 Third Avenue


The Glebe Neighbourhood Activities Group (GNAG) has been hosting this craft and artisan fair for over 40 years, and this year they have added a second weekend to accommodate the highest number of people possible while being socially distanced and COVID safe. Shop some of the highest quality artisan made items including art, jewelery, home decor, amazing gift ideas, and much more. 


The Log Farm Christmas Market 

WHEN: November 20th, 2021 and November 27th, 2021

WHERE: The Log Farm, 670 Cedarview Road

ADMISSION: FREE + free parking

Old-fashioned Christmas Farmers' Market, 100% outdoors. Many of their regular vendors will be joined by talented local artisans for a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. With 50 vendors there will be a variety of baking, food, and many artisans with lots of unique gift ideas. Enjoy the fresh air and a well-spaced out market.


Watson’s Mill Christmas Market 

WHEN: November 20th to 21st, 10am to 4pm

November 27th to 28th, 10am to 4pm

December 4th to 5th, 10am to 4pm

WHERE: Watson’s Mill and Dickinson House, 5525 Dickinson Street


Shop local artisans handmade products including jewellery, art, glass and woodwork, pottery, knitting, holiday decorations, body products, foods and preserves, and much more at historical Watson’s Mill. This event is on for 3 weekends, and don't forget to check out the used book store in the Carriage Shed!
