More Than Real Estate: A Little About Me
Hi, I’m Noah!
My path to real estate has been a little unconventional. Before real estate, I was doing my Master’s in Earth Sciences at Carleton University, including a stint in the Yukon doing field research, collecting data, and programming climate models.
Eventually, I realized I wanted to spend less time behind a computer modelling the future and more time helping people shape theirs.
That feeling wasn’t entirely new. I’ve been involved in wedding photography for nine years, a business my fiancée and I built together. I’ve always loved meeting people, hearing their stories, and being part of one of the biggest days of their lives. Real estate felt like a natural extension of that—helping people through another major life milestone and building relationships that last well beyond purchasing a home.
I’ve also been interested in real estate since I was young. I loved weighing in when my family moved homes, helping my dad renovate a rental property, and thinking about how interior design can completely change the way a home feels. I actually enrolled in the real estate program before university, took the scenic route through Earth and Environmental Sciences at McMaster and Carleton, and eventually came back to it full-time.
Finding the Right Fit
Today, I sit in two roles on Team Nick Fundytus. I work with buyers and sellers as a REALTOR®, while also working in Operations and Finance, helping sellers prepare for market and supporting our team’s client relationships and day-to-day operations.
I enjoy both sides of the business because they bring together two things I naturally gravitate toward: people and problem-solving.
My goal isn’t simply to find someone a house. It’s to understand what they’re looking for, why they’re looking for it, and what kind of life they want to build. Sometimes that means finding the right home. Sometimes it means finding the right neighbourhood.
The Moment I Knew I Was in the Right Career
At my first-ever open house, I met a number of first-time buyers. What stuck with me wasn’t just talking about homes—it was the conversations that happened around them.
We talked about their lives, their plans, what they were excited about, and what they were nervous about.
I realized how much I enjoyed those conversations and how rewarding it felt to help people who were entering a process that can sometimes feel overwhelming.
I left that open house thinking: this is exactly what I want to do.
My Approach
I believe a good REALTOR® should be an anchor when things get stressful and a protector of their client’s best interests. Buying a home is about much more than price, bedrooms, and square footage. There are emotions, finances, family plans, lifestyle, and a lot of uncertainty involved.
I want my clients to feel understood, supported, and like we’re a team. You can expect honest advice, thoughtful guidance, clear communication, and someone who will never push you into a decision simply to get a deal done. If the time is right for you, the time is right for me.
One of the best compliments I’ve ever received was, “I feel like we’ve known you forever.” That’s exactly the kind of relationship I hope to build with my clients.
Outside of Real Estate
When I’m not working, you’ll find me on my road bike, devouring food, or somewhere in Gatineau Park.
Cycling is my main sport—mostly road with a little gravel—and I spend as much of my summer as possible riding through Gatineau Park and following the professional cycling calendar from the couch. In the winter, I trade the bike for cross-country skis and follow Serie-A soccer and the professional XC-ski calendar… also from my couch.
I’m also Italian, so naturally, food is a big part of my life. Sunday dinners with my family are a tradition I really value, and I love exploring restaurants and discovering how food reflects a city’s culture.
My ideal Saturday involves three espresso shots, a bike ride, a croissant, catching the end of a stage race, showing a few homes to clients, and trying a new restaurant with my fiancée.
When I’m truly relaxing, it’s Seinfeld or The Sopranos with some of my Nonno and Nonna’s homemade prosciutto, cheese, and olives.
My Ottawa
One of the things I love most about Ottawa is how seamlessly the city blends urban life and the outdoors. You can ride past Parliament, grab coffee, explore a neighbourhood, and be in Gatineau Park shortly after.
I love the Glebe and Westboro for their coffee shops, restaurants, and walkability, and I spend plenty of time around Hintonburg, Chelsea, and Gatineau Park.
A few favourites:
- Coffee: Little Victories or Palmier
- Restaurant: Ventuno at Il Negozio Nicastro
- Wine: Parlour
- Cocktails: Datsun
- Shopping: Stomping Ground
- Outdoors: Gatineau Park
- Ottawa activity: Cycling, museums, or live jazz
And yes, I’m probably going to recommend Il Negozio if you’re looking for good Italian food. I’m a little biased.

Looking Ahead
I’m excited to meet more people looking to make a move in Ottawa and help them find the right place, not just the right house.
Whether you’re buying your first home, moving into something bigger, or looking for your next chapter, I want to be there to understand what matters to you, explore the neighbourhoods that fit your lifestyle, and guide you through the process.
At the end of the day, I want the people I work with to feel understood, supported, and like we’re a team.
Thanks for getting to know me a little better. Whether you’re thinking about buying, selling, or simply want to talk Ottawa real estate over an espresso and croissant, I’d love to connect.
