Hi, I’m Chelsea!

If you had told me a few years ago that I’d be helping people navigate one of the biggest decisions of their lives while also helping lead a real estate team, I probably wouldn’t have believed you.

My real estate journey actually began while I was in my third year of Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa. Like many students, I realized the career path I was on didn’t feel like the right fit. Around the same time, my mom—who has always been my biggest role model—left her full-time career to become a REALTOR®. Watching her build a career she genuinely loved made me wonder, “What if I tried it too?”

That one question completely changed the direction of my life, and looking back, I’m incredibly grateful I took the leap.

Finding the Right Fit

Today, I’m fortunate to wear two hats on Team Nick Fundytus. I’m a full-time REALTOR®, helping clients buy and sell homes, and I also serve as our team’s Integrator. In simple terms, that means I help oversee our day-to-day operations, working alongside our administration and marketing teams to ensure everything runs smoothly and that our clients receive an exceptional experience from start to finish.

I genuinely enjoy both sides of the business. One allows me to guide clients through exciting (and sometimes overwhelming) life transitions, while the other lets me build systems and processes that help our entire team succeed. It keeps every week interesting and constantly challenges me to grow.

The Moment I Knew I Was in the Right Career

One client experience has always stayed with me.

They came to us after learning their landlord was selling the home they were renting. Naturally, they felt pressure to buy quickly. After taking a step back together, we realized purchasing a home wasn’t actually the right move—not yet.

Instead, we found them a rental they truly loved, giving them the time and breathing room to save more, focus on other priorities, and purchase a home when they were genuinely ready.

They’re now happily settled and excited to begin their home search on their own timeline.

That experience reminded me that success isn’t always measured by a sale. Sometimes the best advice is encouraging someone to wait until the timing is right.

My Approach

Buying or selling a home can feel overwhelming, especially the first time.

One of the most meaningful compliments I’ve ever received was from a client who told me I felt like “a bigger sister” throughout the process. That has stuck with me ever since because it’s exactly how I hope my clients feel—supported, informed, comfortable asking questions, and confident that someone is genuinely looking out for their best interests.

When we work together, you can expect:

• Clear, responsive communication. I know waiting for answers can be stressful, so I prioritize keeping clients informed every step of the way.
• Calm, trustworthy guidance. Whether we’re touring homes, negotiating offers, or talking through options, my goal is to help you feel confident rather than overwhelmed.
• Honest advice. I’ll always recommend what’s best for you—even if it isn’t the quickest path to buying or selling a home.

Outside of Real Estate

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me doing something active or somewhere near the water.

Fitness has become a huge part of my life, and this year I accomplished something I never thought I’d do: completing my first half marathon. Crossing that finish line was one of my proudest moments, and now I’m training for my next challenge—the Toronto HYROX race this fall.

A perfect Saturday for me starts with a run along the Rideau Canal, followed by an iced latte and breakfast sandwich from a local café. From there, you’ll probably find me paddleboarding, relaxing at the beach, wandering through a farmers’ market, or ending the day on a patio with friends and ice cream.

If I had to choose a favourite Ottawa neighbourhood, it would be Dow’s Lake. Between the walking paths, waterfront, sunsets, patios, and outdoor activities, it has everything I love about living in this city.

• Current obsession: Learning to bake sourdough bread (emphasis on learning!)
• Go-to coffee order: An Iced Teddy Graham Latte from Tartelette Bakery in Old Ottawa East
• Song currently on repeat: Loving Life Again by Ella Langley
• Dream travel destination: Costa Rica
• Bucket-list Summer activity: Wood-fired pizza, a charcuterie board, and a glass of wine with friends at Maison Charron

Looking Ahead

I’m incredibly grateful that I took a chance on real estate while I was still in university. It’s given me the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, help people through some of life’s biggest milestones, and work alongside an incredible team that challenges me to grow every day.

Whether I’m helping someone purchase their first home, decide whether buying is the right move yet, or working behind the scenes to make our team even stronger, my goal is always the same: to make people feel supported, informed, and genuinely cared for.
