Why This Spot Stands Out

Uncorking Local Charm at Kin Vineyards in Carp

If you had told me a few years ago that one of my absolute favourite weekend escapes would involve sipping locally grown Pinot Noir right in our own backyard, I might have double-checked your GPS. But as a lifelong Ottawan, watching our local food and drink scene expand into world-class territory has been one of the greatest perks of living here. Tucked away on 47 rolling acres along the Carp Ridge, KIN Vineyards Carp is proof positive that wine country is closer than you think.

What I genuinely love about visiting Kin Vineyards Carp is how effortlessly it balances top-tier craftsmanship with total down-to-earth warmth. It is Canada’s most northerly VQA vineyard planting Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, yet there is zero pretension. Whether you are grabbing a tasting flight with friends on a sunny Saturday or relaxing after exploring the Carp Farmers’ Market, this family-owned estate feels like a warm embrace from the Ottawa Valley community.
