Why This Spot Stands Out
Where I Eat, Walk, Shop, and Recharge in Ottawa
As much as I love helping people find the perfect place to call home, I make a point of enjoying the city myself, too. Ottawa is full of gems — from incredible food and scenic walking trails to local markets and quiet spots to reset.
This list isn’t about real estate. It’s about the places I find myself going back to, time and time again, when I need to reconnect with the city — and with myself. And now, I’d love to share them with you.
EAT – Feleena’s
Feleena’s is my go-to when I’m craving something bold and flavourful. Tacos are basically a love language, and they never miss here. It’s the perfect spot for a casual lunch or dinner with family and friends — the kind of place that just feels good to be in.
WALK – Mer Bleue Bog
This trail never gets old. Whether I’m solo with a podcast or catching up with a friend, Mer Bleue Bog is one of those places where you can really breathe. Peaceful, scenic, and just far enough out of the city to feel like a mini escape.
SHOP – 613flea
I love discovering pieces that feel personal, and 613flea is one of my favourite places to do that. From handmade goods to vintage finds, it’s a treasure hunt every time. Supporting local makers and small businesses adds so much meaning — and makes this city feel more connected.
RECHARGE – Beyond Café
A cozy corner, a great coffee, and a few minutes to pause — that’s what recharging looks like for me. Sometimes I’ll bring a book, sometimes I just sit and enjoy a pastry between appointments. Beyond Café has that warm, welcoming feel that always makes me want to stay a little longer.
These are just a few of the places that help me slow down, feel inspired, and stay grounded in the city I love. If you’re exploring Ottawa — whether you’re new here or just looking to try something different — I hope you get the chance to enjoy some of these spots too.
And if you ever need a local recommendation (food-related or otherwise), I’ve got plenty more where that came from!
